The Voice of President Theodore Roosevelt

I don't expect you to listen the this in its entirety, but it is pretty cool to be able to hear Roosevelt's voice. The sound quality is understandably poor, but you certainly can get a sense of what it would have been like to listen to him speak. Feel free to share any thoughts you may have on the speech itself or even just the sound quality of the recording.

The following link will take you to a page containing various quotations from Theodore Roosevelt: http://www.theodoreroosevelt.org/life/quotes.htm

I think it was a very good idea to put his voice on the internet. THe sound quality wasn;t bad if you turned your volume up. I could hear it clearly. His voice didn't sound high pitched like the author described it in our text book. I wonder what other presidents voices sounded like?

Teddy sounded like well educated man. He spoke very modestly of himself and others surrounding him. He stood up for what was right.

That's amazing! He sounds almost like what I thought he would sound like. Just the accent threw me off.
