While this is brief, it should give you a good sense of the basics behind Hitler's rise to power. You might want to look up Joseph Goebbels and the Reichstag. Do you think a leader like Hitler could ever come to power again?

If you watch Hitler's hand motions you can see that he practiced a lot. It also sounds like Hindenburg helped Hitler a lot. Also, everything that could have gone Hitler's way did. -CL6
This video is a good one, but is a bit boring to watch. It gives all of the information with corresponding pictures, but is almost like a lecture. Overall, this is a great video.
Adolf Hitler was just trying to get Germany out of the depression. He just did anything he could to follow through. He was kind of like F.D.R when you think about it.Both men were trying to help their Country.
I could clearly see all of his precisely planned hand movements. The propaganda posters really made him look like the perfect hero. I thought it was interesting that the 1st thing he did was get rid of parlement and burn the Reichstag building. I don't think another leader like Hitler could come to power in the U.S., but maybe in a desperate third world country someone like him could come to power. -Jb2
Its very interesting that Hitler had the authority given to him to put the political enemies in concentration camps. Just for being presumed the ones who put the building in flames. BJ6
this is amazing because many people think he was elected into office but now some of those people now know thathe was not elected. One question i still have is that the the riechstag building went up in flames and i want to know whether hitler had anything to do with it? rh1
I think it is amazing that one man could have been so persuasive. He persuaded civilians, leaders and even the president that he was good. I think that if that building had not burned down things would different. He might not have even become the leader of Germany. I don't know how Hitler became so persuasive but I hope a horrible man never becomes that persuasive again. wr6
It is terrible that Hitler made Hindenburg sign those contracts that said that they could put their enemies in prison and concentration camps. Just think, if the burning of the building didn't happen and Hindenburg didn't have to sign those things, World War II could have been much less worse than it was
I liked this video. It showed how he came to power, and it was very interesting. To answer the question, I don't think a leader like Hitler could come to power again, but only because of Hitler. What I mean is that if people think a leader will do what Hitler did, they won't like that person so he won't come into power. So if Hitler was never born, there may be a possibilty of a leader like Hitler coming into power, but now people would not allow it because of what he did.
Its seems like hitler became Germanys leader just like one of our presidents became president. He went around campaigning just like our presidents do. people believed in him especially in the bad times. I think if a country not just germany had another dpression, i think they could easily make the same mistake.
This video shows that Hitler and his Nazi Party were powerful. It tells what happened with them, and what they did. I do not think there will ever be another leader like Hitler. I hope not, too. I thought this video was very interesting.
Hitler totally mastered the power of propaganda. If Germany had not been in such a deep depression Hitler might not have been able to come to power as easily. And I wonder what actually caused the fire the the Reichstag. It was extremely convenient for the Nazi party. It this modern day and age Hitler probably would not be able to come to power. However, I agree with Jb2 in saying that in a third world country in might be possible for such a horrible dictator to come to power. RHam-3
If you watch Hitlers hand motions you can tell that he practiced a lot. Those carefully planned out hand motions were what helped him to become such a powerful speaker which helped him rise to the power of Germany.
I find it amazing to see so many people who thought of Hitler as a hero. You can see it in the German peoples eyes, they adored him. I sometimes wonder what many of them would have thought if they had known about the concentration camps, gehttos, and mass kilings of innocent civilians.
(Many Germans had a basic idea about what was happening, but they probably did not know about everything. Just think, people could have questioned the Nazi Party if they had known about the atrocities.)
I guess this shows that a country with many people in rough times will always look for a leader to lead them no matter what they stand for. Hitler was trying to make Germany bigger and seem better but he would end up ruining Germany's reputation even for many years after the war.

I think it's kind of funny how Hitler tried so hard to make everyone like him. Even if he had to use propoganda to do it.

This YouTube video does seem to show the amount of hand signs he used regularly and I definitely think it took a lot of practice!!!

I definitely think that an evil man like Hitler could rise to power. It almost happened with Huey Long, but he was assassinated.
