It really was a gloomy time. The textbook's photos don't seem as gloomy as the photos and videos in the movie. The movie showed a lot of poverty that kind of shocked me. Many people had ragged clothes.The music was kind of weird though.

These photos that being show are really depressing. It was such horrible time. It was also inconvenient that the dust bowl occured right around that same time.

I think that it is really amazing how many people the depression affected. It showed a store that was selling free donuts and coffee and the amount of people in line was astounding. This video really paints a bleak picture of what the depression was like.

Watching this video made me realize how bad the depression really was. I knew that times were hard but because I had never seen a picture, I never really thought it was that bad. The times then must have been very hard and w are very fortunate for everything we have today. I'm glad someone like FDR was there to get us out of that terrible depression.
