"Troops Patrol L.A." (The Watts Riots of August 1965)
This is a newsreel reporting the famous Watts Riots of 1965. If you are interested, I would encourage you to read a little bit on the riots after you view this (the research database is a good place to start). Did you find any information that contradicted the video? Do you feel the video gave an accurate portrayal of the event?

This is an incredible set of pictures. I can not even believe that the Ohio State Troopers would kill 4 innocent students. Why would the state troopers not be convicted of murder? The Kent State students didnt do anything harmful to the policemen except throw stones. Does this make them liable to be killed? It is truly horrible.

I think this was completely unnecessary. This was a huge waste of money. Why did this need to happen? The town was ruined! That must have taken awhile to repair.
