Duke Ellington at the Cotton Club

This is not a video but rather some of the Duke's music recorded live at the Cotton Club in Harlem. Enjoy.

This may not be appealing to a lot of people, including me. But, this music turned into rock and roll, which turned into many other types of music. Jazz is the roots of modern music. Can anyone hear any little preview of rock and roll in it?

Duke Ellington was really into music. He was putting a little rock I could hear CL6. Other than that it was really nice to start some smooth calming music.
