Stairway to Heaven (Freeclimbing to Work)

Stairway to Heaven (climbing towers) from Joe LaGreca on Vimeo.

Thanks to CS5('16) for sharing this link. I have always found it extremely difficult to look at photos of the men who worked on the early skyscrapers as they spent time far above the ground with no safety gear. My assumption has been that all modern work taking place "in the clouds" would mandate numerous safety precautions. I guess I was wrong. You have to wonder what type of person is able to do this kind of work regularly, yet there are clearly people out there who are not bothered by heights. I am just not one of them. Surely you will have some reactions after you watch this, but be prepared. You may need to look away from time to time. I know I did.

That was amazing and i don't know how they do that every day and twice a day. It was also scary because he was free climbing so you have nothing to save you if you fall.

After seeing this video again, I noticed that there aren't many other options to get that specific job done. However there should be more safety procedures. One posibility which may or may not help is having the workers bring a parashotoot up with them. The only flaw with this is it may make climbing harder. This job looks very dangerous but in a way looks like fun.

If i had to climb up that every single day i would be bound to fall off. How could a person do that so calmly?
